Compliance Engineering and Assurance Approvals

The Building Regulations and Building Control approval process cover many building types, however, construction projects carried out on Railway or Underground Stations, Airport Terminals and other very unique buildings may be exempted under the Building Act 1984. Alternative standards and approval processes have been developed for these building types and are generally termed as Compliance or Assurance Approvals.

These Approvals confirm compliance to the Building Regulations in addition to Engineering and Operator standards covering safety, operational or property requirements.

Our multi-disciplinary engineering team have a wealth of experience spanning decades in the rail and airport industries having worked in regulation and assurance, design and construction. We have experts in the fields of civil and structural engineering, communications, systems integration, fire engineering, protection and control, lift and escalator engineering, electrical and mechanical engineering, premises, building control and accessibility to the built environment.
